EcoVision was founded in 2019 by Gary Loosley. Having previously worked in the non-destructive testing industry building X-ray machinery, then in the marine engineering field as an engineer responsible for maintaining sonar and echo-sounding equipment, then as a remotely operated vehicle pilot / engineer, Gary developed a wealth of knowledge of working in some very harsh real world environments before moving into the vision system field in the mid 1980s.
Gary developed and installed his first bespoke vision systems for the food and beveridge industry in 1989, and since then has worked for some leading vision system manufacturers including DVT and Cognex where he developed and installed hundreds of machine vision systems for a broad range of industries from pharmaceutical to heavy automotive.

With over thirty-five years’ experience of developing vision solutions for many diverse applications Gary is now solving customer inspection applications using both traditional and cutting edge technologies such as Machine Learning, 3D laser profiling, Hyperspectral Imaging and A.I.
Gary holds a U.K. private pilots licence, is a qualified amateur "Ham" radio enthusiast, is happily married and loves dogs. (especially black Labradors)
